Musician Max Murray has collaborated as a composer with ensembles and soloists Noa Frenkel (Tel-Aviv), Distractfold Ensemble (Manchester), and ensemble apparat (Berlin) — among others. As a performer he has worked with ensembles such as the Staatskapelle Berlin, Ensemble Kollektiv Berlin, the SWR Experimental Studio, Vancouver New Music, and the Academy Orchestra of the Berlin Philharmonic — been a resident performer in the composition departments of the University of Huddersfield, and Stanford University — as well as in 2011 and 2013 performing as a member of the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra. He is currently completing a PhD in the composition department at Harvard University.
