Ensemble Dal Niente
Supported by the Fromm Music Foundation
The Harvard Group for New Music closes the 2014–15 season with a concert from Chicago’s Ensemble Dal Niente in one of HGNM’s most ambitious projects to date, featuring nine new works. Described as “super-musicians” and noted for “bracing sonic adventures by some of the best new-music virtuosos around” (Chicago Tribune), Ensemble Dal Niente have worked with countless composers and have risen quickly to assume a position as one of North America’s most prominent new music groups. In 2012, they became the first-ever ensemble recipient of the coveted Kranichstein Music Prize — the top award for music interpretation — at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt, Germany.
